Though we have recently chosen not to be certified organic by the WSDA, we have not changed our growing practices.  We start with organic seed stock and organic potting soil, as well as organic fertilizers. Our crops are watered using drip irrigation to conserve as much water as possible.  We cover all of our vulnerable crops with fabric barriers to protect them from wind, weather, and insects. We also use no herbicides, choosing instead to use cover crops and hand cultivation for weed control.

As a farm that has chosen to directly market our produce, we welcome all questions and concerns regarding our agricultural practices. we have extensive knowledge regarding the organic program, and our 30 plus years of farming experience ensures the high quality you have come to expect from Meadowlark Farm.
